A story of perfect candidate who never been a real person in fact.

In the fast-paced world of startups, where every team member plays a crucial role, ensuring that you have the right person in the right role is critical.

This was a hard lesson, but it made us a stronger team.

So, the next time you hire, remember: don’t just focus on what they know – focus on who they are and how they fit into your team.

After all, the best candidate isn’t the one who just passes the interview; it’s the one who completes the tasks.

Yes It Happened To Us

It happened a few years ago in my previous company. We were a small but ambitious SaaS startup in the fintech domain, building a product that was gaining traction.

Our team was lean, remote, and hyper-focused on quality. Our HR department has been doing great, pouring our team with first-class talents across the globe.

We needed a senior QA engineer to join us – someone who could dive deep into the code, understand the product inside out, and most importantly, help us find and fix the bugs before our users did.
